Vicky Grant's surprise Hollyoaks reappearance is baked in mystery, but now we know a little bit more about how it plays out.
In scenes set to air next week, the heartbroken Scott Drinkwell is unsure whether he can withstand further emotional torture, so he decides to ignore calls from Social Services.
This forces Maxine and Minnie Minniver to remind him that he has a lot of love in his heart and is still capable of caring for a child.
Taking this support fully onboard, Scott later reveals to Maxine that he's been asked to foster a toddler. But while they're out searching for Charlie Dean, the pair are stunned to stumble upon Vicky.

Scott star Ross Adams initially teased Vicky actress Anya Lawrence's return during an interview with Inside Soap back in February.
"The last scene I filmed was with Maxine and, this is a total tease... Vicky!" he told the publication.
"I can tell you that we do see her again, but I can't say whether she's back for good."

Vicky parted ways with her hometown earlier this year in the wake of her spiked drink storyline that saw her end up hospitalised, destroying her father Scott in the process.
Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
