Hollyoaks to air sinister twist in Tony Hutchinson story

Hollyoaks will air a sinister twist in Tony Hutchinson’s ongoing storyline, with the barman set to be involved in some more drama.

Tony has been on edge ever since Eric sieged the village and held people hostage at The Dog, which left his wife Diane fighting for her life in hospital.

In scenes that air next week, Tony’s anxieties will increase after Beau informs him that their car has been broken into, leaving him to wonder if it’s a random act of vandalism or a planned job.

He is sent into a panic when he can’t find Diane at their flat, and is spiralling when he finds out that she is attending a Women’s Conference with Maxine, but Jack calms him down and reassures him that everything will be fine.

The CCTV footage for the pub, however, shows that Tony could potentially be vindicated in his paranoia, with the video showing a hooded intruder breaking in and rearranging the furniture.

Beau wakes up the next morning to find the pub has been vandalised, but subsequently conceals information he’s gleaned from the CCTV footage when the detective comes to investigate.

Fearing for her family’s safety, Diane elects to take the children and stay round Scott’s for the night, leaving Tony and Beau to protect the pub. The drama doesn’t cease, however, with the hooded figure returning once more to wreak havoc.

Tony then receives a call from Eric, who is requesting he visit him in prison, leading Diane to recommend that he seek professional help for his mental health.

Will Tony follow his wife’s advice, or will he continue attempting to solve the matter by himself?...

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
