Hollyoaks' has aired some dramatic Mercedes McQueen scenes as the family fell to pieces when trying to keep it together took its toll.
John Paul has relapsed back into alcoholism and Mercedes kicked him out, with tonight's (February 15) first-look episode showing Goldie and Sally St Claire arguing over whether it was the right thing to do.
Sally said they needed to do right by Matthew-Jesus, as he's only a child, while Mercedes was incensed because she had to watch Bobby Costello get sent down and her brother should be doubling down on being a good dad right now.

Deciding that the best plan would be to keep him away from the family at the moment, Mercedes made plans for Matthew-Jesus to go stay in Alicante with Myra — which wasn't a popular decision.

As if that wasn't all stressful enough, Nana McQueen turned up and saw everyone in tatters. She blamed Mercedes for the way Bobby turned out, and for potentially setting John Paul's recovery back.
"If you don't pipe down, I will send you to a nursing home where you belong," Mercedes retorted.

Fearing that Mercedes is self-destructing, Goldie went to Felix — the last person Mercedes wanted to talk to.
After chewing him out earlier in the episode when he tried to tell her about John Paul buying booze in Price Slice, Mercedes decided to do something drastic to push him away for good.
She tried busting up the car that Felix was renovating for DeMarcus' upcoming birthday.
"I don't need your help, or anyone else's," she said to her former love. "I'm telling you, stay away from me."
Will Marcus forgive Mercedes, and can the McQueens pull through all their issues, especially now that Nana is back?
Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
