Hollyoaks has confirmed its scheduling details for the Christmas and New Year period.
The soap will be celebrating in style over the festive season, as the McQueens gather for Prince and Olivia's wedding – and Hunter returns for the occasion.
Due to Christmas falling on a weekend this year, Digital Spy understands that Hollyoaks' episodes set on Christmas Day will play out on screen earlier than in the other soaps.
Viewers will see how the villagers celebrate Christmas in the week commencing Monday, December 19, when Hollyoaks largely airs in its usual slots.

What to Read Next
The show will also air in the period between Christmas and New Year, but there will be fewer episodes than usual as Hollyoaks makes way for festive programming.

Theo Graham, who plays Hunter, recently spoke to Digital Spy about returning to Hollyoaks after four years away.
He told us: "I'm in-between contracts at the moment and the opportunity came up. We've been trying to make it happen for a while and we finally made the dates work.

"It's nice to be back in familiar surroundings with familiar faces. It's exciting and I'm looking forward to the audience seeing what's coming up for Hunter."
Asked about what happened after Hunter left with his girlfriend Asha Kaur in 2018, Theo teased: "He got dumped by Asha and he's coming back with a bang, that's all I'm going to say!"
Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
