Exclusive: Hollyoaks star Theo Graham shares Hunter heartbreak as he discusses return

Hollyoaks star Theo Graham has shared more details of his upcoming return as Hunter McQueen.

Earlier this week, Digital Spy exclusively revealed that Theo had returned to filming after four years away from the Channel 4 soap.

Upcoming episodes will see Hunter reunite with his twin brother Prince and move into the new share house of 20-somethings, which will be central to storylines in the months ahead.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy on the red carpet at the Inside Soap Awards 2022, Theo explained: "I'm in-between contracts at the moment and the opportunity came up. We've been trying to make it happen for a while and we finally made the dates work.

"It's nice to be back in familiar surroundings with familiar faces. It's exciting and I'm looking forward to the audience seeing what's coming up for Hunter."

Hunter left the village with his girlfriend Asha Kaur in 2018, but it turns out that the romance didn't last.

Theo continued: "He got dumped by Asha and he's coming back with a bang, that's all I'm going to say!"

During his time away from Hollyoaks, Theo appeared in prison drama Clink and Netflix's Fate: The Winx Saga.

Discussing his other work, Theo said: "Working on different projects is always a new experience. It's something that I embraced and I really enjoyed it.

"It's nice to be back and working with people that I know. I have the most fun working with Malique [Thompson-Dwyer, who plays Prince] and Chelsee [Healey, who plays Goldie] and the rest of the gang, so I'm excited."

Last week, Digital Spy confirmed that former Neighbours star Jemma Donovan has been cast as newcomer Rayne, who'll be living at the share house alongside characters like Hunter, Prince, Nadira Valli and Romeo Nightingale.

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
