Hollyoaks has confirmed a devastating attack for Verity Hutchinson in the show's radical misogyny storyline.
Verity recently discovered that her brother Eric is a member of an incel forum and may have been behind the recent drink spikings of women in the village.
While Verity has decided to stand by Eric in hopes of reforming him, she will regret her choice once Eric falls back into old habits and helps student Mason Chen-Williams access the site next week.
Verity catches the two on the site, and after reading aloud the misogynistic messages, she warns Mason she'll tell his parents what he's up to if she ever sees him around Eric again.
When Verity questions whether prison might be the best option for reforming her brother, Eric breaks down as he begs her not to give up on him.

Shaq has no idea what's happened as he's busy preparing a romantic marriage proposal, with Nadira's help. A plan to pop the question in the park is ruined by an aerobics class, so Donna-Marie agrees to help them set up in the gym instead.
As Shaq and Nadira wait for Verity in the gym, Hollyoaks residents are at the annual tree-lighting ceremony when Tony's speech is interrupted by Verity stumbling into the village.
Zoe rushes to tell Shaq the news, whereas Eric breaks down in the ambulance as he promises Verity he'll be a better brother from now on. Will Verity survive?
Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
