Hollyoaks' Sally St Claire is a busy lady, working as headmistress at the local school and trying to keep the McQueen family together throughout their many, many, many dramas.
But actress Annie Wallace has said that she'd love a change of pace and for her character to embark on another romance, since it has been a while.
"My favourite story was the romance between Sally and Myra," she told Inside Soap. "I've always played a comedic character and never had a romantic story in my life, but hopefully it'll happen again.

"George Clooney!" she joked as being her dream partner. "No. I'd like somebody I have instant chemistry with because it translates on screen. It would be great for Sally to be in one of those classic soap pairings like [Coronation Street's] Jack and Vera, or Roy and Hayley. That was the great thing about Nicole Barber Lane, who played Myra – we really got along well."
She also called for Emmett Scanlan to return as Brendan Brady, whilst adding that she'd like to see Will Mellor's Jambo or Gemma Bissix's Clare Devine come back to the Channel 4 soap too.

"The original McQueen house with a bit grimy and small," Annie said. "So I prefer our one now in what used to be the Hutch because it's really big, comfortable, it's warm and there are carpets.
"We get to film in the cellar a lot as well which is a new set. It reminds me of when I was growing up in the '70s, it's very old fashioned."
Hollyoaks now streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
