Hollyoaks has teased Mercedes McQueen and Romeo Nightingale's fling being exposed.
The shocking development occurred after Cher was taken in for questioning by DS Cohen for George Kiss's murder, due to a photo of the two arguing turning up on social media.
After being taken in for questioning, DS Cohen tripped Cher up when the teen admitted she wasn't very close to George, despite writing on her social media that she was "heartbroken" by his death.
"I didn't kill her," Cher then cried out — flashing back to the trauma over her sister's death when she was young.
DS Cohen accused Cher of attention-seeking with her sister and questioned if she'd done the same with George, but her interrogation was stopped in its tracks when it was determined the photo was fake.

Meanwhile, Mercedes suspected that she was pregnant after some unusual symptoms. While she went off to buy a test, Goldie dropped a hint to Romeo that Mercy was expecting.
Romeo immediately panicked that he might be the father after their recent fling, leading Mercedes to remind him that they'd used a condom.
"I am not going to trap you into fatherhood, Romeo," she promised. "Seriously, you need to let this little indiscretion go. I have! I've made some big mistakes in my life, but this was a stinker."
Mercedes had to smooth over Romeo's ego after insulting his sexual performance, explaining he was just a little "quick" in their encounter.
Mercy then insisted: "Listen, I love Sylver, you love Cher, we're all in a good place. They can't find out about this."
That's when Cher and Sylver arrived in the room to ask what exactly Mercedes had been hiding. Will the fling be exposed?
