Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Trevor A Toussaint has promised "pain" for the Deveraux family in the wake of next week's bombshell wedding twist.
A new clip, which you can watch above, offers hints about how Mitchell and Scott's wedding will go disastrously off rails, with Walter (Toussaint) demanding priest Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas-Speed) help him stop the nuptials.
Flash forward scenes will reveal that a horrific crime takes place at the wedding — and Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams), Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher), Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood), Walter Deveraux (Trevor A. Toussaint) and Martine Deveraux (Kéllé Bryan) all face police questioning in the aftermath.
Toussaint didn't quite reveal what goes down at the wedding when he exclusively spoke to Digital Spy recently, but he warned of tough times for the Deveraux clan.
"There will be change, a lot of change in the long-term. There will be some pain," he hinted. "The Deveraux family are going to have to go through a healing phase.

"There will be healing that needs to happen and there will be friction I suspect within the family as well. How will we deal with that friction? Will there be forgiveness? As there is going to be pain from certain situations. Acceptance again is another word that comes through.
"But really, there's going to be a lot of change and adaptation to the situation that happens at the wedding."
Quizzed on whether Walter is underestimating the threat of his vengeful grandchildren Celeste (Andrea Ali) and Toby (Bobby Gordon), Toussaint said: "Yes, to be blunt. Walter just wants his family. Don't forget that Walter has been dealing with his guilt issues around that and I think he is blinded somewhat because of his own sense of shame regarding the circumstances that led to Toby and Celeste not growing up with the family.
"He is blinded by the potential dangers that could be afoot and could present itself. I think normally he might be more astute around that sort of thing. In regards to Felix, he could see he was trouble for Martine. However, because Walter is now trying to protect Martine from Felix, trying to protect his grandchildren and trying to keep Mitchell happy as well and accept his relationship with Scott, he is not seeing any of the underlying stuff, which is something that Walter will pick up on.
"That's his job, to sense and see these things and help people work through them. He would normally see that, but he hasn't seen it."
Deveraux family members Rachel Adedeji (Lisa) and Imran Adams (Mitchell) are set to leave the soap in the near future, so expect fireworks next week!
