Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas is recognisable for his role as villainous Warren Fox in the Channel 4 soap but the star has revealed that he previously came very close to joining another soap.
Lomas revealed to The Sun's TV Mag that he is keen to work with his younger sister Charley Webb, who plays Debbie Dingle on ITV's Emmerdale, and that he was once close to joining her in the Dales.
"Yeah, I would love to work with Charley. She's such a great actress," he said. "There was nearly a point in Emmerdale where something nearly happened, but it never ended up coming off."
Adding that he "would definitely like to" work with Webb professionally at some point, he suggested that he is hoping to have opportunity to produce a project that he could cast her in.

Having previously produced a short film which starred former Emmerdale actress Sammy Winward (who played Katie Sugden in the soap between 2001 and 2015), it's certainly not outside the realm of possibility.

Warren made his comeback to Hollyoaks village in January after a break from the soap and has been locking horns with his ex Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) since his return, after she vowed to take back their young twins who he previously ran away with.
Lomas described returning to Hollyoaks as "like coming home" and added that it has been fun to "put Warren's mask back on".
"I had a great chat with Bryan (Kirkwood), our boss, and we were just talking about Warren coming back this time and they said that they want to give him some mates in the village this time round and make him a little bit different which is great," he said. "It's been fun to play, but I don't think it will be long before he's back causing trouble again."

With a history like Warren's, it surely won't be long before he's found a new target to pick on this time around...
Since his latest return Warren has enjoyed a brief fling with Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) and has also clashed with newcomer Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood), who he grew up with in a children's home.
Warren and Felix share a dark past, with Felix having tormented Warren as a child, and Lomas has promised that there will be "fireworks" between the pair.
"I think the storyline is going to run on for quite a while, so I'm excited about that," he said.
Hollyoaks airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing on E4 at 7pm.
Wednesdays through Fridays on E4 will feature classic episodes called Hollyoaks Favourites to compensate for the soap suspending filming in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
