Hollyoaks favourite Darren Osborne could finally get some help next week after Kyle Kelly realises how much he's struggling.

Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) has been suffering with depression in recent months, but his partner Mandy and other loved ones in the village haven't noticed.

Next week's episodes see Darren's loved ones start to lose patience with his erratic behaviour, still unable to see the underlying reason.

As Darren switches from one unfinished project to the other, desperately trying to find something to occupy his mind, those around him grow frustrated.

Darren tries his best to get through the day, but darkness descends over him when he returns home. He pretends to be asleep when Mandy arrives at the flat, unable to face talking to her.

Later in the week, Darren is on the couch in his pyjamas and refuses to attend his open-mic night at The Hutch, telling Mandy that he's not up to it.

When Mandy shares her concerns about Darren with Nancy, Kyle, Cindy and Luke, something in the way she describes his moods strikes a chord with Kyle.

Viewers will see that Kyle's discovery comes as he's secretly dealing with struggles of his own.

When Kyle realises that Nancy isn't excited over them getting married in ten weeks' time, he's hurt and feels insecure.

Kyle goes to see Jordan Price for drugs but also asks him whether he wants to go for a drink. Jordan cruelly laughs in his face, leaving Kyle feeling humiliated. Could Kyle and Darren start to support each other?

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
