Nancy Osborne has tragically suffered a miscarriage in Hollyoaks.
The Hollyoaks High teacher was taken to hospital earlier this week, after being stabbed in the leg by drug dealer Mason in a schoolyard brawl with Imran Maalik (Ijaz Rana).
Though she was originally told her baby would be okay, Nancy (Jessica Fox) later experienced sharp pains that made her worry she was losing the child.
Thursday's (January 30) first-look episode opened with Kyle (Adam Rickitt) explaining to Jack Osborne (Jimmy McKenna) that Nancy had lost the baby the prior evening – and Jack surprised him by mentioning Nancy had previously also miscarried with Darren.
"She never told me," a stunned Kyle admitted.

They were interrupted by Nancy, who told Kyle and Jack that she was going to call the police for an update on the stabbing investigation.
"I refuse to feel weak while the guy who did this to me is out there enjoying his freedom," she vowed. "Someone around here has to do something."
Kyle later tried to have a heart-to-heart with his partner when they went out for coffee, though she would only admit to feeling "useless".
"You lost a baby. Our baby… and you're acting like it didn't even happen," Kyle said, with Nancy insisting: "Some things are too hard to talk about."
When Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) dropped in to check on her, Nancy seemingly grew paranoid about how Sid Sumner's (Billy Price) presence in the school may have led to her stabbing.
Kyle tried to calm Nancy down, but she hit out at him: "If you're not going to help me, Kyle, then you can stay out of my way!"
Nancy stormed over to Leela Lomax's (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) house to question Sid, but his cousin Jordan Price (Connor Calland) lied that he'd already called the police over the stabbing.
"I hope your leg's healing okay," he snarkily added.
Though Jordan seemed to pacify Nancy, for the time being, she had no idea that he was actually the drug dealer who sent Mason into Hollyoaks High.
Jordan put the next phase of his plot to infiltrate the school into action later, when he used Sid's gaming login to reach out to Charlie Dean (Charlie Behan).
As viewers know, no good will come of Charlie's involvement with Jordan over the next year…
Hollyoaks airs Mondays through Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing on E4 at 7pm.
