Hollyoaks will air harrowing scenes next week as Donna-Marie Quinn overdoses on drugs.
These scenes will bring together two of the soap's ongoing storylines, as the family drama with the Quinns/Nightingales becomes intermingled with the growing County Lines drug trade in the village.
Donna-Marie (Lucy-Jo Hudson) has most recently convinced her teenage daughter Juliet (Niamh Blackshaw) to leave Hollyoaks with her, after revealing that James (Gregory Finnegan) and Marnie (Lysette Anthony) framed her for Mac's murder.
Next week, James will interfere with Donna-Marie's attempt to take Juliet away from the village when he taunts her by insisting she will only disappoint her daughter in the end.
Donna-Marie will be in a vulnerable state when she encounters the village's new dealer Jordan Price (Connor Calland) and buys some of his stash.
The day spirals out of control, and before all is said and done, Donna-Marie will be unconscious on the floor of the Nightingale house – having overdosed! The question is, will anyone come to her aid?

Lucy-Jo Hudson shot her latest stint on the Channel 4 soap while expecting her second child. After she welcomes her baby, the actress is already thinking of another return to Hollyoaks.
"I know my character could come back and fit straight into all that chaos, so the door has been left open for me again which is lovely," she hinted.
