Hollyoaks' Ste Hay will make a risky move as he desperately tries to reach out to the Maalik family next week.

Ste (Kieron Richardson) recently tried to extract himself from the far-right group, after seeing what they were capable of.

Stuart and Jonny Baxter have since used violence, threats and intimidation to keep Ste in their grasp, but he'll make another attempt to escape them in upcoming episodes.

When Ste comes out of hiding next week, he is still very much being controlled by Jonny and Stuart – who are refusing to let him out of their sight.

Having been away from the village for a while, Ste gets a terrible shock when he learns about his ex-boyfriend Harry Thompson's death.

With Harry's funeral underway, a heartbroken Ste races up to the hearse but is ultimately stopped from going to the service by Stuart and Jonny.

Unaware that Jonny and Stuart are back in close proximity, Misbah, Yazz and Sami are trying to move on with their lives and are relieved to hear The Teahouse has been put up for sale.

As the Maaliks move home, Yazz is still struggling to cope with everything and finds unlikely support in the form of Finn, who offers to buy her a burger when she accidentally drops hers on the floor.

When talk turns to Stuart and Jonny, Finn promises her that they will pay – and also that she will find happiness again. Emboldened by Finn's support, Yazz later tells Misbah that she wants to be brave and go outside.

But while the Maaliks attempt to move forward, Ste's problems remain – with Stuart and Jonny continuing to show a distinct lack of respect for him when he tries to help around the house.

Furious to hear they are back, Leela later storms into the kitchen – warning that everyone is keeping a very close eye on them.

Later, Ste risks Jonny and Stuart's wrath by throwing a secret note over the fence to the Maaliks – in a desperate attempt to contact them. Will they get it?

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
