Hollyoaks airs two big proposals in Breda McQueen's serial killer storyline next week.
Fans will see Breda get a big surprise when Jack Osborne (Jimmy McKenna) pops the question at The Dog, but it's just the beginning of an eventful time for their relationship.
Jack is left high and dry when Breda rushes off after his proposal, unaware that she has a very good reason for her disappearing act.
Breda springs into action after discovering that the local teens are partying at her old pig farm – the location of Louis Loveday's body.
When Jack goes off to find Breda for an explanation, she thinks on her feet and tries to appease him by popping the question herself.
Moya Brady, who plays Breda, explained: "She does love Jack, but it's complex. She's found a genuine person, but she has what she believes is 'god's work' to do.

"She has children to protect, which comes first, and Jack is an ex-policeman, which obviously is a concern for her. I like to think of them as a sort of geriatric Romeo and Juliet.
"Breda does feel a little bit bad when she runs out on Jack, but really she has other pressing matters to deal with – the schoolkids at the pig farm – so feeling bad isn't on her mind.
"Her plan is to just frighten the kids. She's going to tell them to vamoosh, to scarper. She's a little bit unhinged when she arrives, and of course it’s a matter of life or death to Breda.
"The children are just drinking a bottle of cider and frolicking about, so to suddenly have this mad old lady run at them, I think it is enough to get rid of anyone!
"She would never, ever harm a child but I think she's confident that she can frighten them. She knows children very well and I think she's sure enough in her abilities to scare them away."
Asked about Breda's subsequent proposal to Jack, Moya continued: "Well she's thinking on her feet really, it's as simple as that. Suddenly she's got herself in a situation which she doesn't really want to be in, but she'll think about that stuff later.
"She just focuses on how to solve everything in that moment and deal with the repercussions later."
Things get even more complicated for Breda when she overhears Jack discussing how he caused the death of a child when he was just 15 himself.
On whether Breda feels betrayed by the revelation, Moya confirmed: "Initially yes. But obviously it's a complex situation. She is more understanding once she finds out Jack was a child himself, and the terribly tragic circumstances surrounding it.
"You know Breda can take on layers of complexity, even though things seem black and white. She gets that it's not a straight-forward situation and he's not a bad person."
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
