Hollyoaks stars Stephanie Davis and Owen Warner aren't quite engaged yet, in spite of what fans might be seeing on social media.
The real-life couple's fans have been speculating that they're going to be heading down the aisle after spotting the Sinead Shelby actress wearing a sparkly ring in the latest Instagram snaps from the pair's romantic getaway.
The photo has provoked several questions asking if Stephanie is wearing an "engagement ring", with others already wishing them well down the aisle.
Slow down a bit, people! Digital Spy has confirmed with Stephanie's representatives that she is actually wearing a "promise ring" given to her by Owen.

Stephanie actually shared the romantic gesture on Instagram a few weeks ago, calling it a "beautiful promise ring" from her "beautiful partner".

The Hollyoaks stars confirmed they were together in real life around Christmas, and recently celebrated Valentine's Day with some loved-up photos on Instagram.

The actress's soap comeback on Hollyoaks will continue next week with a major new storyline escalating the abuse her character Sinead has endured from sadistic husband Laurie Shelby.
