Hollyoaks will explore a possible polyamorous romance for Tom Cunningham in an upcoming storyline.
Tom (Ellis Hollins) has been struggling for months with what he assumed were unrequited feelings for Harley Frater (Mollie Lambert), considering she rejected his advances last year.
The dynamic is even more complicated because his ex-girlfriend Peri Lomax (Ruby O'Donnell) believes that the two can't stand to be in the same room with each other.
So, next week, Peri decides to actually lock them in the same room at the Inspiration Ball to try to get them to resolve their differences. Unfortunately for her, they resolve their differences all too easily!
It's not long before Tom admits his true feelings for Harley, and they share a romantic kiss. When they're let out of the room, a guilty Tom immediately confesses what he's done to a shocked Peri.
A jilted Peri turns to Harley for some answers on why she'd kiss her ex-boyfriend – but a nonchalant Harley offers an unexpected solution: why don't they try a three-person relationship?
