Hollyoaks' Luke Morgan made a big decision after being reunited with his estranged wife Mandy again tonight (December 18).
Fans have seen Gary Lucy return to screens this week as he briefly reprises his role as Luke for the latest part of Mandy's story.
Gary has left the Channel 4 soap to concentrate on his commitments to the UK tour of The Full Monty, but we always knew that he would be making a handful of guest appearances in the coming weeks.
Recent episodes have seen Mandy (Sarah Jayne Dunn) finally tell her partner Darren Osborne the truth about how their unborn child possibly has spina bifada, a condition where a baby's spine and spinal cord doesn't develop properly in the womb.
Although Darren is confident that they can handle the diagnosis together, Mandy has been thrown into a brand new dilemma after it dawned on her that Luke could actually be the father instead.
Mandy's unsettling realisation came during her latest hospital appointment, in which the doctor stated that spina bifada often runs in families.
What to Read Next
Remembering that Luke's uncle was born with the same condition, Mandy paid her ex a visit in prison and confided in him over what was going on.
However, Mandy has failed to apply the same honesty to Darren – instead choosing to keep him in the dark as she tried to get confirmation over her baby's paternity.
After being warned of the risks of having a pre-natal paternity test, Mandy decided to go back and see Luke, but was left shocked by what he told her.
Feeling helpless in jail, Luke advised Mandy against telling Darren the truth – imploring her to think about the consequences if she did.
Wanting Mandy to have full support, Luke insisted that he was happy for Darren to take on the baby as his own as he's aware that his love rival could offer their unborn child more than Luke himself can at the moment.
Fans will have to wait and see whether Mandy decides to take Luke's advice, but it's certainly looking like she's considering it. But is she making a big mistake by not coming clean now? And could Luke end up regretting this as well?
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
