Emmerdale's Vanessa Woodfield feels lonely and isolated next week when her claims about Pierce Harris's darker side fall on deaf ears.
Dramatic scenes airing later this week will see Pierce show his true colours in a furious argument with Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick), before setting her up with a very cunning plan.
As we first revealed last week, Pierce (Jonathan Wrather) engineers a way for Vanessa to stumble across a secret sex tape that he's made with his fiancée Rhona Goskirk - wanting it to look like she's invaded their privacy.
Pierce's plan works perfectly when Rhona falls out with Vanessa over her discovery, genuinely convinced that her closest friend has been snooping.
Rhona's ex-husband Paddy Kirk feels caught in the middle as she continues to clash with Vanessa, not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings by picking a side.
However, as the arguments continue at the vets surgery, Vanessa is left frustrated when Paddy and Pearl Ladderbanks both ultimately refuse to believe her about Pierce's ruthless behaviour.
