Emmerdale's Serena Sugden is set to ruffle some feathers next week, following her recent arrival to the village. The mysterious newcomer clashes with Moira Dingle, who is irritated by her continuous prying.

Serena first appeared on our screens last week, when she tried to help a distressed Charity Dingle, down by the lake. Despite a rocky start, the pair soon bonded, and Charity revealed everything that had been plaguing her.
After advising Charity to come clean to her family about Leyla's true paternity and Dr Todd's blackmail, Serena headed to the village. Since then, the stranger has been lurking around trying to gather information, with her interest in John Sugden sparking concern from Sarah.

Next week, Serena turns her attention to Nate Robinson, who was accidentally killed by John during one of the villain's failed 'rescue' attempts. Serena's fishing doesn't go unnoticed by an angry Moira, who makes her distrust known.

"Serena is certainly providing plenty of mysteries," points out our Dales source. "In this week's episodes, people get suspicious that she knew killer John Sugden and kept quiet about it – and she asks plenty of questions about him to find out more! It also turns out that Kev recognises her from somewhere.
"Next week, it seems that Serena's focus is back on John's list of crimes when she asks about the circumstances of Nate's death. Is this mere curiosity, or something more sinister?"
