Emmerdale spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on ITV and stream on ITVX.
Emmerdale aired some disturbing scenes tonight, as Bear Wolf attacked Paddy Kirk amid the latter's secret scheme.
Bear's irrational behaviour has left son Paddy and daughter-in-law Mandy Dingle worried, and in Friday's (27 June) episode, Paddy confided in Mandy and Marlon that he thinks his dad might have memory loss.
Since Bear refused to see a doctor, Paddy planned to trick him into taking a test for dementia on his phone despite Mandy warning that Bear won't like being tricked.
Paddy convinced Marlon to give him a hand with his plan, which involved inviting Bear to the pub for a free pint before bombarding him with questions.

Bear soon realised that something was up, and swiped the phone from Marlon. Seeing the test on the screen, he was far from impressed.
"I forget a few things, and I've got dementia? I'm demented?" he raged. "It's an insult to sneak behind a man's back and start doing stupid tricks."
Bear made out that Paddy was "ashamed" of him, and asked what he'd done to deserve being treated that way before storming out. Once in the street, Bear stumbled against a wall and looked flushed before Paddy caught up to him.

"If it helps, Marlon said you absolutely aced the test," Paddy said in an attempt to be reassuring, but Bear said that he felt "humiliated" by the incident and grabbed Paddy by the collar.
Pushing him up against the wall, Bear called Paddy a "jumped-up snot" before adding: "It's about time someone put you in your place!" Paddy later returned home, where Bear had already spoke to Mandy, who tried to encourage them to put it behind them and make up.
"He attacked me in the street! You were absolutely raging," Paddy said, while Bear responded by telling his son to "get a grip".

After Bear stormed out again, Paddy wondered if the outburst was a sign of depression, dementia, or his "real dad shining through". Whatever the reason, Paddy said he couldn't handle further outbursts from his father.
It was recently announced that Bear would be departing the soap soon as part of a major storyline, with the seeds being planted for it this week - what is next for the broken family?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
