Dawn Fletcher and Joe Tate were caught out on Emmerdale as their months-long affair was discovered.
The pair have engaged in a secret romance over the past few months, and developed feelings for each other after initially hooking up on a casual basis.
When Joe confessed his true feelings, Dawn was left conflicted over her own emotions. She eventually decided to leave husband Billy, who was confused and heartbroken.
Despite the sudden announcement, Billy still retained hope that their relationship could be salvaged. Tonight's episode began as he spent the night back at Home Farm.

Dawn assured Joe that despite his reservations about the arrangement, Billy's presence wouldn't affect their relationship, though she did urge her secret partner to remain quiet until the time was right.
After Billy attempted to rekindle the spark with Dawn, she promptly shut him down and reiterated that they were "done". She then urged her estranged husband to leave the house as she didn't want to give him or their children "mixed messages".
Dawn later informed Joe that Billy had moved out again, with Joe bluntly saying it was for the best. With the pair seemingly in the clear, they shared a passionate kiss, though they were unaware of Clemmie's prying eyes.

After witnessing the kiss, Clemmie was clearly unhappy when she was approached by Dawn and Joe throughout the day. The two were perplexed about the youngster's sudden shift in mood. After Joe attempted to get closer to her, Clemmie revealed that she knew his and Dawn's secret.
Joe hurried to resolve the situation, but found himself mildly injured as Clemmie hurt him as she attempted to leave the room. She remarked that she would "never like" him after his actions.
