Emmerdale spoilers follow from Monday's episode (January 27), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX but hasn't yet aired on ITV1.
The following article contains discussion of sexual misconduct.
Emmerdale has hinted that Steph Miligan could stand in the way of Aaron Dingle and John Sugden's killer cover-up.
Steph refused to back down in Monday's episode after Aaron and John tried to conceal Anthony Fox's true fate.
Aaron and John discovered that Anthony had died at Caleb Miligan's depot last week. The villain's demise followed a brutal beating from Aaron, who'd taken revenge after learning that Anthony was a child abuser who'd preyed on his daughter Ruby when she was a teenager.
Rather than letting Aaron go to prison for his impulsive crime, John insisted on disposing of the body and making it seem like Anthony had left the village of his own accord.

Monday's episode saw Aaron and John desperately try to tie up some loose ends following Anthony's death.
Top of the agenda was removing Anthony's car, which was still parked in the village.
Needing to make it appear that Anthony had driven off somewhere, Aaron and John moved the vehicle to Cain Dingle's garage after learning that it would be empty for a few days. Aaron planned to strip down the car and dispose of all the evidence.
John also distracted Ruby by falsely claiming that there'd been a gas leak at Mill Cottage. This left the property empty, giving Aaron the opportunity to collect the last of Anthony's belongings.

By the end of the day, Ruby and Caleb both seemed satisfied that Anthony had discreetly returned to collect his things and left for good.
Steph was also relieved that Anthony seemed to be okay, but she hinted that she wouldn't rest until she'd spoken to him for an explanation.
Leaving a message on Anthony's voicemail, a baffled Steph asked: "What is going on? Where are you? Can you please just give me a call?"
She then told Ruby and Caleb: "It just doesn't make sense."
Could Steph's curiosity lead to the grisly truth being exposed?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
