Emmerdale's Jai Sharma to discover life-changing secret

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale airs a big storyline for Jai Sharma next week as he spots something very surprising in a pile of old legal documents.

The revelation comes just as Jai is looking to the future with his partner Laurel Thomas after a romantic proposal.

Laurel gets down on one knee and asks Jai to marry her. The businessman delightedly accepts, but his thoughts soon turn to practical matters as he realises that he'll need to retrieve his divorce certificate.

Jai heads off to find his legal documents, but while doing so, he dislodges the contents of an old box and spots some old papers.

The following day, Jai gets more honesty from Rishi's ex-wife Manpreet Sharma, who reveals that she has known the secret since she married into the family.

This makes Jai even angrier and he turns Rishi away.

Later in the week, an engagement party is planned for Jai and Laurel, although Jai still struggles to escape his inner turmoil.

Oblivious to what's going on, Jai's young son Archie heads out on a secret mission to find Rishi, who's absent from the celebration. Will Rishi's arrival risk making things worse?
