Emmerdale's Paddy and Mandy Dingle will give in to temptation again.

Following the breakdown of his marriage to Chas Dingle after discovering she was having an affair with the late Al Chapman, Paddy and Mandy grew close again.

After reminiscing about their relationship over a bottle (or two) of wine, the former couple fell back into each other's arms and gave into temptation for the first time. Now, they're set to grow closer once more.

In upcoming episodes, Paddy faces renewed grief over his baby daughter Grace, who died in 2019, and wonders whether he's coping properly.

Scenes set to air next week will show Mandy feeling encouraged when Paddy agrees to have lunch with her. Mandy offers Paddy the reassurance he's looking for, telling him he's dealing with his grief in a healthy way.

But the moment soon turns intimate as Mandy and Paddy reflect on their former relationship and end up sharing a passionate kiss.

Paddy is quick to leave, upset that he's stepped over a line. Mandy, meanwhile, is worried they've made a mistake and regrets letting her emotions take over. She believes it's too soon to be intimate with Paddy again after his split from Chas and his recent mental health crisis.

The following day, Paddy apologises to Mandy, but she's holding back tears. Despite her strong feelings for Paddy, she knows she has to do the right thing and not turn this moment of passion into something more.

Mandy puts on a brave face as Paddy leaves, but Vinny worries that Mandy isn't setting proper boundaries...

Previously opening up about Paddy and Mandy, Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw hinted at a darker edge to their storyline.

"It's not all going to be love and laughter there with those people," she said.

"What we'll see is actually, underneath it all, as much as Paddy is putting on that big smile and that he is trying to act like everything is okay, actually underneath it all, it's not."
