Emmerdale lines up emotional Kyle scenes as he's taken away

Emmerdale has lined up emotional scenes for Kyle as he's being taken away from his family.

During Wednesday's (January 11) episode, viewers saw the authorities tell Moira and Amy that they'd have to take Kyle into an authority children's home for shooting Al Chapman.

Cain Dingle had tried to take the rap for his son, only for Kyle to confess to police under the encouragement of his uncle Caleb Miligan.

ITV has now unveiled images and a first-look clip from Thursday's (January 12) episode, in which Moira and Amy have to say a tearful goodbye to the young boy as Cain returns.

These previews show Moira and Amy struggle to assure Kyle he will be okay before the detectives investigating Al's murder take him away to his authority housing.

While these Emmerdale scenes are sure to be emotional, viewers can be sure that this isn't the last they will be seeing of Kyle.

Late last year, Kyle fatally shot his father's arch-rival Al during an armed standoff involving Cain. Cain had lured Al to a barn to confront him for his affair with Chas Dingle.

Little did Cain know, his son Kyle had followed him to the barn and leapt into action to defend his father when he thought Al was reaching for a shotgun.

Since then, Cain's long-lost brother Caleb has showed up in the village after learning about Faith's death. Caleb has tried to forge bonds with his brother's family even though Cain has urged them not to trust his sibling.

Caleb ultimately convinced Kyle to confess to the shooting, and has since hooked up the rest of the Dingles with high-priced lawyers to stop Moira, Amy, Mack, and Matty from being charged with covering up the crimes.

The situation will come to a head during Thursday's (January 12) episode, airing at 7.30pm on ITV.
