Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Moira Dingle has broken down over Cain's involvement in Al's death in Emmerdale.

While Cain remains in prison, he has struck a deal with Chas that could see him escape justice for killing Al in retribution for his nemesis's secret affair with Chas.

Thursday's double bill (November 3) saw Cain once again ducking questions about the murder when he called wife Moira on the phone from prison.

Moira was desperate for answers over whether Cain actually killed Al, but he refused to be drawn and ultimately hung up when she started asking too many questions.

Cain had also met with his lawyer, where he attempted to take a similar tact, avoiding offering an explanation for why his fingerprints were on the gun.

When his lawyer suggested he could use self-defence as an argument, Cain decided to once again leave a mystery as to how he'd plead in their hearing the following day.

Back at the farm, Moira broke down as Mack tried to gently suggest she'd need more help if Cain wasn't released following his hearing.

Moira admitted she couldn't handle facing the prospect of years without Cain when "even tomorrow seems too much".

"I'm losing everything and I don't know what to do," she said as Mack comforted her.

Mack was left unable to offer Moira any solace because he knew there were no guarantees Cain would be out of prison any time soon.

Will Cain take a plea deal or stick to his story and risk life in prison?
