Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale fans should watch out for a schedule change tonight (October 7), as the show makes way for live Women's International Football coverage.

The ITV drama has been airing in a daily 7.30pm timeslot since March, as part of a soap scheduling shake-up.

Friday night's episode will move back to the earlier slot of 7pm, as ITV is airing the England vs USA friendly from 7.30pm.

This also means that Coronation Street won't air at all this evening, but Weatherfield fans aren't missing out as there was an episode on Tuesday this week to make up for it.

Emmerdale is currently airing some big storylines ahead of its 50th anniversary week, which kicks off with an hour-long special on Sunday, October 16. A deadly storm in the village will cause havoc across the episodes.

Executive producer Jane Hudson recently explained: "There's going to be a lot of tears – I must warn you about that – and we'll see our community have to deal with the aftermath of this horrific storm.

"The month has already started with Aaron's return, we've seen that on screen. Of course we've got the Faith storyline coming up which is going to be incredibly sad. Then we go into our storm, which has got more than one stunt across the week.

"And then just when you think things can't get any worse for our Emmerdale characters, they really, really do and we end the month on a really big bang that propels us well into the new year."

Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm on ITV, and streams on the ITV Hub.
