Dan Spencer has been caught out over his plan to break up Amelia and Noah in Emmerdale.
The protective dad secretly warned Noah to break up with his daughter Amelia earlier this week, having insisted that the relationship would only add another complication to her pregnancy.
A conflicted Noah reluctantly agreed to end things with Amelia, though he picked the worst possible timing in Wednesday's episode (August 31) as it was her birthday.

Noah crushed Amelia by calling things off, then took things one step further by claiming he'd never actually had any real feelings for her. Dan looked on from the distance to see how hurt his daughter was.

"You're just a kid having someone else's kid," Noah snapped.
Amelia commiserated with Dan and Harriet over the birthday dumping, telling them all she wanted was her boyfriend back.
Harriet picked up what Dan may have done, and warned him: "You said you were okay with it. You lied to her face and then you schemed… It might [work out], if she doesn't find out what you did.
"And, if she does, you'll lose her, Dan. It won't take much for the truth to come out."

It's going to be a rough time for Dan as he will share that he has been harbouring secret feelings of his own for Harriet in upcoming scenes – yet his plan goes off the rails.
