Emmerdale star Danny Miller has taken to Twitter to tease his return as Aaron Dingle with a short on-set video.

In the clip, Miller, in character as Aaron Dingle, sits down at the bar of The Woolpack, sips on a beer and says: "Good to be back."

"Guess who's back.. back AGAIN! News is out I've come back to celebrate the 50th year of Emmerdale," read the tweet which accompanied the video.

Recently, the soap announced that Miller would be returning on a temporary basis reprising his role as Aaron Dingle for the 50th anniversary episode.

Speaking to Digital Spy last year, Miller explained: "I've actually left Emmerdale and unfortunately decided to start a new path in life. I've got my baby now... and it felt like the right time to open a new chapter in my life.

Emmerdale producers Jane Hudson and Kate Brooks announced the news that Miller would be returning at a press event for the 50th anniversary.

Hudson teased: "Aaron's back and how is he going to respond when he finds out that his mum is cheating on Paddy, who he sees as a father?

"Is he going to discover that Sandra is not all about Liv? There's a huge story happening over there."

Diane Sugden (Elizabeth Estensen) and Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) will also be returning to the village for guest appearances to mark the anniversary.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
