Despite a fairly idyllic start to their relationship, there is definitely trouble on the horizon for Emmerdale's Marcus Dean and Ethan Anderson.
The couple had previously taken the decision to move in together a few weeks into their relationship after the excitement of Ethan's move led to a conversation about their future.
Having got Ryan's approval, the two have been living together with him ever since in the shared house at Tall Trees.

However, as with every relationship, the honeymoon stage can only last so long.

As the two spend more time in each other's lives, naturally, they begin to also interact with the people in their close circles – including certain family members.
But, for Ethan, his dad taking a liking to his boyfriend will not feel like relief, rather an exasperated sigh.
Excited by the new addition to the family, Charles, Ethan's father, embarks on a budding bromance with Marcus. However, the overenthusiasm soon leaves his son feeling sidelined and overlooked.

As Ethan's time with his boyfriend is rationed, his frustration slowly starts to escalate, leading him to snap at the pastor, who can't help but be shocked by the outburst.
