Emmerdale's Dawn Taylor discovered the horrible truth about DI Malone's body being moved in tonight's New Year's Day episode of the ITV soap.

When Millie (Willow Bell) briefly went missing at Home Farm and Dawn (Olivia Bromley) helped to look for her, she stumbled across Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) behaving strangely on the grounds.

Things got worse for Harriet later at the church when new vicar Charles (Kevin Mathurin) mentioned that the grave in the village graveyard – where Malone's body was originally hidden before she and Will (Dean Andrews) had to move it – has been disturbed.

Things got even worse when he added that he plans to report it to the police.

"It doesn't look right at all," Charles said. "It's been dug up, I can tell."

Will Harriet and Dawn's dark secret be revealed?

Emmerdale airs from Monday to Friday at 7pm and Thursdays at 8pm on ITV.
