Paul Ashdale's outburst proved to be the final straw for his son Vinny Dingle in Emmerdale.
During yesterday's (November 11) episode, the dark side of Paul once again reared its head when he kicked off over Vinny's girlfriend Liv Flaherty's threats.
In case you hadn't been keeping up with this storyline, Liv knows that Paul gambled away his and Mandy Dingle's house money and wants him to come clean.

The drama continued tonight as Paul promised Vinny that he'd never repeat his violent behaviour, leading the pair to team up and try to smooth things over with Liv.
Later on, an emotional Vinny dialled in for a virtual support group aimed at gamblers, where he pretended to be the one with the addiction.

He lied about a "friend" helping him – risking their girlfriend and job in the process – but all he could do was slap them in the face with more stupid decisions.

The expert on the other end of the line encouraged Vinny to distance himself from this supposed friend, who's actually "enabling" him.
With the reality of the situation now plain to see, Vinny decided that he'd move in with Liv in order to create space between himself and Paul.
"I can't help you dad, not anymore," he revealed, leaving Paul in disbelief.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
