Emmerdale newcomer Meena Jutla is at the centre of more tension tonight (September 28) following her surprise arrival in the village.
Show bosses have introduced new cast member Paige Sandhu in the role of Meena, who's the estranged sister of established character Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker).
In Monday's episode, Manpreet feels under pressure to explain why she has never mentioned her sibling.
Manpreet's stepdaughter Priya (Fiona Wade) is among those to seek answers over the mystery, pointing out that it's not the first time she has kept big secrets from the family.

Rishi (Bhasker Patel) is also cold towards Manpreet, feeling hurt that his wife was unable to confide in him – and that she still won't reveal any details of her history with Meena.
Meanwhile, Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) is surprised when her ex-boyfriend Billy Fletcher pays her a visit at work.
Billy (Jay Kontzle) clarifies that, despite his kiss with Meena last week, he'd much rather reunite with Dawn and doesn't understand why they can't be together.
The difficult conversation is interrupted when the police arrive to arrest Dawn.

Dawn is told that Meena has reported her for assault – but will she be charged?
Speaking recently about Meena's arrival, Paige explained: "I can see her making enemies with a lot of people in the village. In scenes I have filmed so far, Meena has already annoyed some people.
"Any woman who's strong and powerful will be annoyed by Meena. She likes to wind people up, especially women, and flirt with men.

"Meena gets on the wrong side of Dawn and a few other people! I can see her making friends too, though. I think she has a nice friendship with Liam and Rishi.
"She really likes Rishi in a friendly way as he is so sweet and kind. There's no pretence, he is what he is."
