Emmerdale star Danny Miller has opened up about what it was like to resume filming after it being delayed for weeks due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Back in March, ITV announced that it was halting production on the long-running soap, as well as Coronation Street.
Late last month, the broadcaster was given the go-ahead by officials to start shooting new material again – just so long as the shows' cast and crew adhere to government guidelines, such as social distancing.
Work has now started on six new episodes featuring characters in lockdown.

"WOW – it was so good to be back in Aaron's house with his lodger," Danny, who plays Aaron Dingle said, sharing a behind-the-scenes pic of himself filming a scene with Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain Dingle.

"The Aaron & Cain episode was the first of the six lockdown episodes to be shot out of that block and under the new structures and rules so everyone was naturally anxious of how and what changes we would face," Miller added.

In a lengthy statement, ITV reassured fans that strict safety precautions are being carried out on set, from regularly sanitising equipment to having "fewer people on the ground" and "filming units staying together to work in designated studios with crew".
Other new episodes set to be recorded over a two-week period include scenes with Paddy and Chas (Dominic Brunt and Lucy Pargeter), Sam and Lydia (James Hooton and Karen Blick), Marlon, Al and Ellis (Mark Charnock, Michael Wildman and Aaron Anthony), Mandy and Vinny (Lisa Riley and Bradley Johnson) and Jimmy and Nicola (Nick Miles and Nicola Wheeler).
Emmerdale currently airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV.
