Emmerdale's Chas Dingle witnesses Paddy Kirk's troubles first-hand tonight (May 4).
Chas (Lucy Pargeter) has already been tipped off that Paddy hasn't been coping well since their baby daughter Eve briefly went missing last month.
In Monday's episode, Chas realises just how serious the situation is when she witnesses Paddy (Dominic Brunt) ranting at their little one.
Paddy loses his temper when Eve won't stop crying, shouting at her to stop and unleashing some harsh words that he immediately regrets.

The village vet is mortified when he realises that Chas has heard everything, but is surprised when she takes an understanding approach.
Chas's main concern is that Paddy is bottling up how he's feeling, which led to his unpleasant outburst.
She now wants him to find other ways to cope – including confiding in her wherever possible.

Emmerdale fans know that Paddy has been plagued by fear, regret and paranoia since he accidentally left Eve unattended outside the hospital recently.
Paddy forgot about Eve while rushing his best friend Marlon in for emergency medical treatment, and has been unable to forgive himself ever since.
Recent episodes have shown Paddy's father Bear Wolf worrying about him and trying to encourage him to confide in Chas. Now Chas is finally involved, could it be the turning point that Paddy needed?
