Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale's Chas Dingle finally discovers how much her partner Paddy Kirk is struggling next week.

Chas (Lucy Pargeter) is currently in the dark over some erratic behaviour from Paddy, who has been unable to forgive himself after endangering their baby daughter Eve last month.

Viewers know that Paddy (Dominic Brunt) has become obsessively overprotective when it comes to Eve, sparking concern from his best friend Marlon Dingle and father Bear Wolf.

Next week, the situation is taken out of Paddy's hands after he keeps skipping opportunities to be honest with Chas.

Emmerdale fans saw this storyline begin last month, when Paddy rushed Marlon to the hospital to get emergency treatment for a heart attack.

Paddy forgot that Eve was in the back seat of the car and left her unattended on the hospital grounds, briefly sparking a rift with Chas and leaving the couple facing questions from social services.

Chas has already forgiven Paddy for what happened and thought that the incident had been resolved. However, Bear became suspicious that all was not right when Paddy lashed out at him in a row over Eve's safety.

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Friday, May 1 at 7pm on ITV.
