Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale's Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins) is considering a big change in her life as she is offered a surprise new job.

Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) is delighted next week when Victoria leaves her baby son Harry with her to look after, as she hasn't found it easy to develop a relationship with Victoria following Wendy's previous support of her son Lee, who she at first didn't believe was guilty of raping Victoria.

But relations between the pair have been improving since Wendy told Victoria that she believes her and when Victoria lets Wendy spend some time with her grandson by herself, Wendy is very excited that Victoria has put her trust in her.

Victoria, however, has other things on her mind as she's just been offered a big new job running the HOP restaurant.

What to Read Next

Before she makes her decision, Victoria confides in her former boyfriend – and Wendy's other son – Luke (Max Parker) about the offer.

Of course, if Victoria takes the HOP job, she'll be leaving her role in the Woolpack kitchen, meaning that she and Luke won't be seeing each other so often anymore.

Although the couple split a few weeks ago, with Victoria confessing that she didn't feel ready to have a relationship with Luke, there have been hints that they could get back together at some point and Wendy is especially keen for the pair to reunite.

Will Luke encourage Victoria to go for the new job or will he be keen for her to stay working alongside him?

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Friday, May 8 at 7pm on ITV.
