Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Harriet Finch is set to face a distressing ordeal in Emmerdale as Will Taylor returns home badly beaten in new scenes next week.
Will has recently been caught up in crooked cop DI Malone's schemes alongside Cain Dingle and Billy Fletcher.
However, on a new job to transport a huge drug order for Malone, Will learns that Malone is planning to arrest Cain and Billy himself.
As they travel on a country road, the pair are shocked to see a police car try to pull them over, before seeing it is Malone as they realise they have been set up. However, whether he actually arrests them or they make it out remains to be seen.
The following day, Harriet – who's in the dark about what's going on – sees that Will has not returned home.

He eventually stumbles through the door having been brutally beaten up, and later on in the hospital Harriet seeks answers about what's been happening.
Harriet actress Katherine Dow Blyton previously teased her character's secret connection with Malone, explaining: "Harriet and Malone obviously have a history, as she worked with him while she was in the police. She's not happy about him being back in their lives, and she knows Will fears him.
"She doesn't want to give her concern away. She has to tread very carefully to get some answers from Malone without dropping anybody else in it."
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Monday, May 4 and Wednesday, May 6 at 7pm on ITV.
