Emmerdale's Brenda Walker is now facing court thanks to some investigative work from Mandy Dingle.

In tonight's episode (March 30), Mandy went all-out to try and prove that Brenda triggered a severe allergic reaction in Dan Spencer, which also led to him seriously injuring his back.

Despite confessing her guilt to Dan last week, Eric Pollard suggested she should still get rid of the incriminating evidence in case the authorities got involved.

Brenda took Eric's advice and threw away the bottle of salad dressing, and its label, which proved it contained Dan's allergy-inducing ingredient – almond milk.

Later on, at the hospital, Eric tried to play peacemaker between Brenda and Dan, explaining that the inclusion of the ingredient was an easy mistake to make, and blaming her wouldn't help his current situation.

However, Mandy soon took things into her own hands, rummaging through the cafe bins for evidence.

In the episode's final scene, Mandy arrived at the hospital to let Dan know that Brenda was definitely responsible for his allergic reaction and subsequent back injury, and the fact she tried to cover it up by throwing away the evidence.

Mandy then told Brenda this was payback, and that Dan will see her in court.

"Next time you rustle up your wraps, make sure you list the ingredients first," said Mandy as she presented the empty bottle of salad dressing.

Mandy added: "Remember how you hounded me about Marlon's charity money? Well this is payback. He'll see you in court."

How will Brenda wriggle her way out of this one?
