Emmerdale's star Jeff Hordley has revealed there will be a shock betrayal for Cain Dingle in upcoming scenes.
In recent episodes, Cain, Will Taylor and Billy Fletcher have all been coerced into doing the bidding of corrupt copper and criminal DI Malone (Mark Womack).
Recently, Malone asked Cain and Billy (Jay Kontzle) to get rid of a car for him – but after finding blood inside, they decided to keep it as leverage against the corrupt DI instead.
However, knowing the possible implications of double-crossing Malone, Will (Dean Andrews) instead betrays Cain and thwarts his plan by telling Malone about the car.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other media, Hordley said: "Malone has got connections and has always got his back covered, because he knows people higher up because he's in the force.
"He's so bent he can make things happen and wriggle out of things. Whatever hurdle Cain is trying to get over, there is always another one Malone will throw at him.

"Cain and Billy recently saw the car with blood in the back of it. Cain thought on his feet and worked out how to throw this back at Malone, who now has blood on his hands. He thought, 'I'll take that car and I'll store it away and use it against him at some point'.
"But it goes wrong. Will's had dealings with Malone before and he puts him on the back foot. Will thinks he's doing the right thing and decides to tell Malone about the car.
He added: "Will puts a spanner in the works for Cain and Billy. Every time Cain thinks he's getting a handle on the situation, Will squeals."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
