Emmerdale's Moira Dingle has some explaining to do tonight (January 2) after her disastrous evening looking after her young son Isaac.
Moira (Natalie J Robb) was seen messing up again in the ITV soap's New Year's Day episode, as she passed out drunk on the sofa at home when she was supposed to be taking care of the youngster.
In Thursday's double bill, Moira is caught out when her friend Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) turns up at the farm for a vet's visit.
Vanessa is shocked to find Moira still in a bad state from the night before, with the empty bottles of booze in the living room clearly explaining why.

Vanessa's appearance at Butler's is closely followed by Chas Dingle turning up, and there's alarm all round for the trio when it becomes clear that Isaac is unwell.

Having been ignored by Moira all night when crying out for help, Isaac now appears to be having problems with his chest.
Chas is concerned to see Moira struggling so much and wonders whether she should tell Cain, who has only just started trusting his estranged wife to look after the kids again.
Meanwhile, Vanessa ends up taking Isaac to the doctor's surgery in place of Moira, who's still struggling with her hangover.

Of course, in such a small village, it may only be a matter of time before Cain finds out what has been going on. Will Moira's mistake come back to haunt her?
Whatever happens, we know that Moira's current issues with alcohol will be getting much worse before she shows any signs of making a recovery.
Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
