Emmerdale is lining up a bitter surprise for Harriet Finch in the New Year.
The vicar's fortunes have been mixed recently, facing financial troubles at the church even as her relationship with Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) hits its stride.
Next month, the two worlds converge when Harriet (Katherine Dow Blyton) breaks the news to Will that she could be relocated to Essex because of the church being closed.

Harriet is even more horrified when she discovers a robbery at the church, but Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) later reveals that a massive amount of cash has been left in the donation bucket at Woodbine.
Harriet is immediately suspicious over the break-in, though she keeps her mouth shut when PC Swirling (Andy Moore) questions both her and Will about the crime.

At the same time as the church investigation is taking place, Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) is encouraged when Lucas shows affection as she's discussing the residency process with his social worker.

Her good mood is ruined when she overhears Will and Harriet arguing over the church robbery. Dawn intervenes to beg the pair not to hurt her chances of gaining custody of Lucas.
But is Harriet really willing to keep her mouth shut about her suspicions?
