Emmerdale star Charley Webb has reached out to her Instagram followers for parenting advice as she shared that four-month-old son Ace is "not sleeping at all".

Charley, who plays Debbie Dingle on the ITV soap, welcomed her third son with husband Matthew Wolfenden earlier this year, and this week she uploaded a video on her Instagram Stories asking fellow parents for their tips in getting their babies to sleep.

"Ace has stopped sleeping," she shared in the clip. "So what we used to do is put him down between seven and half seven and he would sleep for a good few hours before he would moan.

"Now, you put him down, he goes to sleep, and then within 15 or 20 minutes he's awake crying."

Charley continued: "So, I'm wondering if anyone else has had this because he's just not sleeping at all now through the night. He just wakes up constantly and I am exhausted."

She also added a written caption to the final video upload, writing: "What is happening. Any advice very welcome."

Four-month-old Ace is Charley and Matthew's third child together, following nine-year-old Buster and four-year-old Bowie.

Speaking shortly after welcoming Ace, Charley opened up about the baby's dramatic birth, revealing that he was born with his umbilical cord around his neck.

"It came off and he was passed to me but I could tell something was wrong," she said. "Ace wasn't breathing at first – so the midwife had to press the panic button."

"She said he'd cough and splutter, but he didn't, so she had Ace on his front and was rubbing his back," Matthew added.

"Eventually – and it felt like an hour but it was probably just seconds – he coughed and was fine. By the time someone had come through the door from the panic button being pressed, Ace was breathing again, so it couldn't have been long. Although it felt like a lifetime."

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
