Emmerdale airs moving scenes tonight (September 30) as Chas Dingle and Paddy Kirk remember their baby daughter Grace.
The couple are about to face a heartbreaking anniversary, as Tuesday marks one year since Grace died just a few minutes after birth.
In tonight's episode, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) confides in her son Aaron about how she's feeling over the anniversary.
Chas is dreading being in the village on such a sad day, knowing that she'll be forced into difficult conversations that she doesn't want to have.

She also isn't sure on the best approach to the day, wanting to celebrate Grace's short life rather than just mourning her death.

Fortunately, Charity is on hand to offer some support by giving Chas some time off for a short break away with Paddy (Dominic Brunt). This ensures that they'll avoid scrutiny from well-meaning loved ones in the village.
Before they head off, Chas and Paddy meet up with Aaron – who's keen to be involved – for a low-key but respectful celebration of Grace.

Last year's tragic scenes saw Chas and Paddy spend just a few precious minutes with Grace before she slipped away. Grace had been diagnosed with bilateral renal agenesis, a condition where both kidneys fail to develop.
Earlier this year, Chas discovered that she was pregnant again and the baby's arrival will be one of the three big storylines airing in Emmerdale's big October episodes.
