Charity Dingle is set to face new struggles in Emmerdale over her bond with Sarah Sugden.
The two have been extremely close, but next week's episodes will feature worrying scenes as young Sarah starts exhibiting a rebellious attitude when she starts hanging around with new boy Danny.
It is Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) who initially spots a change in Sarah (Katie Hill) when she notices her playing around with Danny instead of doing homework.
Things turn sour when a chicken pox-stricken Charity (Emma Atkins) admonishes Sarah right in front of Danny, mortifying the teen. This leads to a huge argument between the two.
With Charity hugely concerned about what's going on with Sarah, Vanessa intervenes by trying to put things right between the young girl and her new love interest with a special surprise.
But will Vanessa's kindhearted gesture prove to Sarah that her loved ones really do support her?

The new character of Danny will be played by young actor Louis Healy in a guest stint. Louis is actually the son of Coronation Street and Waterloo Road legend Denise Welch and her ex-husband Tim Healy of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet.
His character is being introduced alongside Doctor Manpreet's new patient Derek, to be played by Tommy Cannon of the classic comedy duo known as Cannon and Ball. Both new characters are set to feature in major storylines.
Emmerdale currently airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
