Emmerdale fans will have to cope with a little less drama from the village later this month.
Official schedules for the week commencing Monday, August 26 have revealed that the show will be switching back to airing six episodes.
Since early April, Emmerdale has been airing seven episodes, with a bonus edition slotted in at 8pm on Tuesday evenings.
The unannounced "extra" episode left some fans confused over whether this was a permanent change to seven episodes each week.

Previous years have also seen Emmerdale increase its output over the summer, usually by extending Tuesday's edition into an hour-long special.
This year, the extra episodes started running earlier in the year and carried on for a much longer period, as well as having their own special slot at 8pm.
They also coincided with major storyline peaks, including the Big Night Out, Maya Stepney's comeuppance and the recent fire at the factory, which killed Frank Clayton.
Emmerdale continues at 7pm tonight (August 14), as Faith and Zak Dingle share a secret kiss.
