Emmerdale will reveal which villager is at the centre of the show's tragic new mystery tonight (July 4).
The ITV soap has launched an unsettling storyline after Jessie Dingle (Sandra Marvin) revealed that human bones had been found during building work at the local school.
Viewers saw the plot begin to unfold last night, as Jessie was called to work for an urgent briefing on the situation.
In tonight's double bill, Jessie's husband Marlon frets about her being so involved in the case when she's supposed to be off sick after her shooting.
Jessie insists that it's all hands on deck to deal with the matter, which is sure to make headlines in the press imminently.
Later on, Jessie has even more tragic news to share – telling everyone that the bones are from a newborn baby who was seemingly buried years ago.

The villagers are all shocked by the news, but one person in particular has a secret to hide.
At the police station, detectives identify the most likely person at the centre of the mystery – Jenny Finn, who would have been 16 at the time.
The mysterious "Jenny" looks a lot like one of the villagers and all will be revealed to viewers by the time tonight's second episode is over. Plus, with a police press conference looming, we may not be the only ones who are about to discover everything.
Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
