Emmerdale's Rishi Sharma and Manpreet Jutla will announce that they are married in a shock announcement.
Upcoming episodes will see the pair – played by Bhasker Patel and Rebecca Sarker respectively – return to the village from their holiday, but their announcement is briefly put on hold when Manpreet's daughter Aiesha (Shila Iqbal) shows up with an announcement of her own.
Aiesha says that she has been dumped and is moving into Holdgate Farm.
Jai (Chris Bisson) is furious, and that's before he hears Rishi and Manpreet's news, that they married in Las Vegas.
Aiesha settles in at Holdgate by taking an interest in Priya Kotecha's (Fiona Wade) work and suggesting that they celebrate Rishi and Manpreet tying the knot by having a party. Meanwhile, Priya puts forward the idea that Aiesha could work at the factory.
Last month, Jai caught Manpreet using the company credit card at the factory to take out a payday loan, and follows his discovery that Manpreet has a spending addiction. But Rishi responded to the discovery by defending her.
