Ah, the bins.
We love the bins! Last September, EastEnders got social media in a frenzy when Albert Square residents found out that bin collections would now be happening once every two weeks, rather than every week.
Many soap fans saw the funny side of it. At the time, we praised it, saying that the soap's "back to basics" approach made the characters more relatable. But some viewers did take issue with the attention paid to, um, bins.
In Tuesday's episode (February 7), EastEnders gave a cheeky shout-out to anyone who complained about it – as Donna Yates (Lisa Hammond) said what she thinks.
"Donna, have you seen the bins this morning?" Tina Carter asked near the start of the episode, while Mick was in handcuffs.

Tuesday's episode saw Mick, Shirley and Aunt Babe all banged up after Babe breached the Queen Vic's licensing laws by spending the past few weeks serving alcohol in the mornings.
It became a police matter when Kathy Beale secretly tipped off the authorities.
Babe betrayed Mick, by telling police that she was only doing it on instructions from him. Oh dear.
